Heroes of Yore is the first print-and-play homebrew expansion pack released by Boss Monster artist Kyle Merritt. The pack is intended to replace nine of the game's existing heroes (five ordinary, four epic) with cards that pose more of a challenge, as a means of increasing the game's difficulty. This pack's green cards are meant to be shuffled into the Hero deck, while the red cards go in the Epic Hero deck. The cards in this pack can be used with any number of players.
Each card uses an original character drawn by Kyle and a background from the game Dragon Quest II (SNES)
Cards[]
Inspired by Indiana Jones, the Adventurer is one treasure-seeker you do NOT want plundering your dungeon.
Astrid is the unused base of the character seen in the Cave-In spell card. She's back, and this time she means business!
Why ride a panther, when you could ride a panther in the nude?
Bonjour, ma chérie. J'ai été en attente pour vous. Attendez, où allez-vous?
This undead seductress is born of unused art from the Vampire Bordello monster card. Is she a help, or a hindrance?
Kyle was too lazy to make it look like she is doing anything more magical than jumping.
Disregarding whatever he's doing with that skull, do you want this guy entering your dungeon, or not?
Disregarding the Necromancer, you do NOT want this "princess" anywhere near your dungeon. In fact, don't even shuffle her into the deck. Based on a character from a daily webcomic Kyle drew for two years.
Tarlon is awesome. Do not question his awesomeness.
